Art Deco style mantel clock housed in a rectangular walnut case with ebony mouldings, resting on a decorated moulded base with block feet.

In 1923 Frank Elliott founded the famous company of F.W.Elliott in Croydon. He was joined by his three sons 1n 1929. In 1944 one of his son’s Horace took over the business and was appointed chairman of the British Horological Institute in the same year. In 1966 his grandson Peter who was an engineer at Vickers Instruments Ltd took over the business.
Elliott was a highly respected clockmaking company who continued until 1973
