A fine curved frame vernier sextant, the polished silver arc signed G.W. Butters, London.

Engraved scale marked from 0 to 120 degrees with hinged magnifier, screw adjuster, 7 shades 2 mirrors and adjustable tube socket with polished wooden handle.

The Sextant retains it’s original fitted mahogany box still carrying an original trade label for E.A.Patterson, Optician and Nautical Instrument Maker, 3 Wade Street, East India Road, Poplar.  C.1900
