French Empire ormolu mounted Bisque porcelain mantel clock surmounted by a winged cherub, Gilded classical frieze below the dial featuring two goats standing on turned and chased feet with gilded and chased bezel.

Enamel dial with Roman numerals and original ‘blued’ steel Moonpoise hands.

Eight day French movement with silk suspension and outside countwheel striking the hours and halves on a large silvered bell.  C,1795
