Oak Cased Mantel Clock c.1900

Oak cased mantel clock, the case with stepped top surmounted by a decorative brass carrying handle.  Applied carved decoration either side of the dial and carved , stepped plinth standing on four brass ball feet.

 

The brass bezel opening to the enamel dial with Arabic numerals and original ‘blued’ steel hands.

 

Hinged brass back door opening to reveal the French eight day movement with anchor escapement, striking the hours and halves on a coiled gong.  C.1900
