Arts & Crafts Mantel Clock

Art and Crafts mantel clock in a bronze silvered case with wreath decoration below the dial, standing on block feet with inset copper plaques featuring cherubs, in the style of George Walton (the case stamped with the design number).  Enamel dial with Arabic numerals, eight day French movement. C.1900

George Walton was an important designer working in Glasgow between 1867-1933. He was closely linked with the Arts and Crafts movement in Scotland and became one of the most important interpreters of the Arts and Crafts movement.
