The Enfield clock company was founded in 1929 in Edmonton, North London. The company made all manner of good quality clocks for the home market up until early in the 1950’s. It was taken over by Smiths and in 1951 clocks were sold under the name ‘Smiths Enfield Clocks’. By the 1960’s the Enfield name seems to have disappeared.
