French four glass mantel clock housed in a brass oval shaped case with sky blue champleve enamel decoration. Heavy curved and bevelled glasses to all sides with opening front and back doors.
Gilded dial with champleve decorated surround, Arabic numerals and original ‘blued’ steel hands with enamel decorated dial centre signed Le Roy, Paris.
Eight day French movement by Japy Freres with anchor escapement, striking the hours and halves on a coiled gong, the backplate also numbered 1577.
