Art Deco mantel clock house in a finely figured marble stepped case with applied Art Deco style brass mounts.

Rectangular brass bezel opening to the gilded dial with Art Deco style numerals and hands signed ‘Bijouterie Lafayette, Rue Lafayette 212’.

Brass hinged back door with silk lined sound fret opening to the French eight day movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel striking the hours and halves on a silvered bell, signed to the cartouche ‘Nord’ and numbered 4176.  C.1925
