Eight day weight driven movement with fine quality wheelwork and brass bob pendulum. C.1850.

Anton Mayer is listed in ‘Vienese Clockmakers and what they left us’ by F.H.Van Weijdom Claterbos as being a master clockmaker working from Stadt, Ruthenturmstr in Vienna from 1835 to 1869.

Vienna Regulators and related clocks by Rick Ortenburger features a fine regulator by Anton Mayer on page 39 stating that he was a master clockmaker in 1835.
