Fine flame mahogany case with brass carrying handle and side glazed windows, Rococo frets in the front door, moulded base and standing on block feet. Silvered dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary dial for strike/silent and original finely cut blued steel hands signed Jullion, Brentford.

Eight day five pillar double fusee striking movement with verge escapement, repeating at will on a centrally mounted bell. C,1750

‘Watchmakers and clockmakers of the world’ by Brian Loomes lists John Jullion and Son as working in Brentford (Essex) from 1762 to 1778.
