Edwardian mahogany Westminster chiming mantel clock, the case beautifully inlaid with burr walnut quadrants and boxwood line stringing and standing on shallow brass feet. Brass bezel, silvered dial with Roman numerals signed ‘Hampton & Sons, Pall Mall’. Eight day Westminster and Wittington chiming movement with eight hammers on eight gong rods.  C1920

‘Watchmakers and clockmakers of the world’ by Brian Loomes lists Hampton & Sons as working in Pall Mall, London in the late nineteenth century.
